Opposite Focus

This was a framing that I liked a lot, but it felt old even before I took the shot. The reason why I say so is that I’ve seen this kind of picture a million times already: a pathway with trees on both sides and someone walking away from the photographer, with everything sharp in focus or just the main subject in focus.

I decided to go the opposite way: I kept the f1.8 aperture and I focused on the closest trees. The overall feeling is a bit weird, but to my eyes the picture has much more depth this way.

Disclaimer: my eyes are not particularly good, so your impression may vary.
