Jim and Dad's brewery, Yilan

Yilan’s most famous alcohol-related company is Kavalan, producer of some of the best varietis of whisky in the world. There are some nice breweries as well though, and Jim & Dad;s is one of those.

Their brewery is conveniently located 300m away from Kavalan’s factory, allowing visitors to get completely waste…ehm…enjoy different kinds of alcoholic beverages within minutes.

They have a very nice building with a larke parking lot. I decided to skip pictures of the building because the weather was horrible. I’ll try again next time. Luckily I live very close by, so I just need to wait for a better day.

I was also very glad to find that they now have a kitchen up and running. The very first tiem I went there, the brewery was still under construction and they were only able to offer beer. Now they also have fried snacks and pizza, the perfect companions for some good homebrew beer.

Their stuff is not cheap, but they produce really unique styles of beer. Some have a hint of coffee flavour, others were clearly brewed adding some fruit for some extra sweetnees. They’re very different from traditional “factory” beers, and it’s definitely an experience that I’d reccommend.

There are some information regarding their products, and more importantly the map. It’s really next to Kavalan, so next time you have a trip to Yilan and you feel like getting wast…erhm…enjoying some local products, that area is ideal.

I’m still very short on my GoFundMe project: https://www.gofundme.com/2czw6wqk so nay help sharing it will be hugely appreciated.
