To be fair, there are many night markets in Taichung city, this is just one of them
Night markets are a tradition in Taiwan. Starting from the later afternoon, some areas will become filled with street food vendors, offering all kinds of fried, barbequed, steam food and drinks.
Night markets are not just about food, though. They’re a place where people at the enbd of the day, enjoy a walk and a few cheap snacks and have a chat. Some night markets also have games and stands selling fine art products and clothes. Each night market in a city is different.
Night markets are a huge part of Taiwan’s culture, so next time you pass by here make sure to find the time to visit one. Just be careful about the amount of food you buy, it’s very easy to get carried away and end up with an exploding belly.
