A few panorama stiches from way above sea level. It’s possible to see the whole region of Yilan from here, in all its rice-field-gloriousness.
Far away in the distance there is Taipei. It may be a bit difficult to see at regular size, but zooming in behind the last line of mountains it’s possible to see part of Taipei’s skyline.
I was lacking an ultra wide angle lens, so I used the 12-50mm Oly to take several pics and then stitched them with Image Composer. I don’t like in-camera panoramas, I often shoot RAW files, process them into TIF then proceed to stitch.
That kind of weather for December is a fairly rare event in this region. Today it’s already cloudy and rainy, so i’ve been just plain lucky to get to hike up there during a sunny day.
